SHOCKER OF THE DAY

For the second straight day, Geneva (8-9, 5-4 Upstate 8 River) stunned St. Charles East, this time 5-2 after beating the Saints 3-1 on Wednesday. Jack Wassel and Garrett Davis both had a pair of singles and each plated a Viking run. Five Viking pitchers, combined on a five-hitter over St. Charles East (12-4, 7-2 Upstate 8 River), with Brian Callaly picking up the win.

No. 7 Champaign Central (17-1, 6-0 Big 12) blasted Bloomington 10-0 behind Phillip Swartz and Luke Beesley.
Swartz (7-0) fired 5.2 innings of shutout baseball at Bloomington (6-10, 3-4 Big 12). Beesley hammered a three-run bomb for the Maroons.

No. 20 Fenwick (10-5, 4-4 Catholic White) overwhelmed St. Francis de Sales 20-2
