Tommy Farrell and Brian Lyle each had two doubles, a single and four RBI for the Vikings. Gage Olszak added three hits and Matt McCormack hit a home run in the victory.
No. 2 Mundelein 4, Warren 3
The undefeated Mustangs manufactured a run in the bottom of the seventh to force extra innings and courtesy runner Ryan Antenore scored on a wild pitch in the eighth as the season-long winning streak reached 20. Ryan Patel pitched two perfect innings for the win. Steve Sanchez had two hits, including a key double in the eighth.
No. 4 St. Charles North 16, Geneva 0
Brendan Norberg went 3-for-4 with a homer and three RBI and the North Stars banged out 17 hits in the five-inning victory. Sean Nemetz and Tommy Nelsen added three RBI apiece.
No. 5 O’Fallon 8, Collinsville 2
Joe Guithes went 3-for-4 with two RBI and winning pitcher Hayden Juenger had two hits and drove in a run for O’Fallon. Juenger went the distance, allowing seven hits while striking out six and walking two.
