Matt McCormick hit a grand slam and Jimmy Burnette went 3-for-3 in the victory. Johnny Peterson and Justin Rios each had two hits and scored two runs for St. Laurence. Nick Jones hit a home run for Providence.
Warren 4, No. 2 Mundelein 3
Robert Archbold’s two-run double in the bottom of the seventh forced extra innings and Warren scored an unearned run in the ninth to hand Mundelein its first loss of the season. Matthew Langevin pitched three scoreless innings to win in relief.
No. 4 St. Charles North 10, Geneva 0
Tyler Mettetal went 5-for-5 with three doubles and three RBI doubles and Anthony Delisi had three hits and scored three runs for the North Stars. Nick Skurka allowed two hits and no walks while striking out six in the six-inning complete game.
No. 6 Mount Carmel 14, Loyola 1
Bobby Seymour and Zion Pettigrew hit two home runs apiece in the victory. Alek Thomas added three hits as the first three batters in the Caravan lineup went a combined 9-for-11 with 11 RBI in the five-inning victory.
Marmion 3, No. 7 St. Rita 2
Eric Lundell allowed an earned run on three hits in six innings and Zack Lentz pitched a scoreless seventh for the save. Chase Stanke and Brandon McPherson had two hits apiece for the Cadets.
No. 9 Lemont 8, Tinley Park 0
Nate Madej pitched a four-hitter with 11 strikeouts and one walk. K.C. Simonich homered and Angel Salinas doubled, tripled and drove in three runs in the victory.
No. 10 Brother Rice 13, St. Francis 2
Pat Mayo and Pat Hayes drove in three runs apiece and Brother Rice piled up 17 hits in the victory. Andy Lopez went 3-for-4 and Ryan Kutt had two hits and two RBI for the Crusaders.
No. 12 Crystal Lake South 13, Jacobs 12
Ryan Parquette went 4-for-5 as South had 20 hits and scored the go-ahead run on an error in the bottom of the sixth. Noah Tyrrell and Scott Skwarek had three hits apiece and Nick Wolski homered for the Gators.
No. 14 Lyons 6, Proviso West 2
Sam Frieze allowed four hits and struck out 10 in the victory. Frieze and R.J. Cruz drove in two runs apiece for Lyons.
Lincoln-Way West 4, No. 15 Lincoln-Way Central 2
Mike Majcher homered and doubled and Connor Blair struck out the only batter he faced with the tying runs on base in the bottom of the seventh to save the victory for Marcus Seguin, who allowed five hits in 6⅔.
No. 17 Cary-Grove 6, No. 16 Huntley 4
Tyler Pennington had a two-run homer and an RBI single as Cary-Grove did all its damage in the first two innings. Matt McCumber allowed two runs on five hits and struck out eight in six innings for the win.
No. 18 McHenry 15, Crystal Lake Central 5
Nicholas Finley hit a two-run homer and Michael Lasiewicz added a three-run double as McHenry erupted for 11 runs in the first inning.
No. 22 Plainfield South 10, No. 25 Oswego East 0
Trey Stewart homered and drove in four runs for South. Ryan Harty allowed four hits in 6⅓ innings for the win. Jordan Mikel had two hits and two RBI.
No. 23 New Trier 13, Niles North 1
Anthony Calarco hit a grand slam and Patrick Jodloman pitched four innings of one-hit ball for the Trevians.
Metea Valley 3, Waubonsie Valley 0
Matt Vass pitched a four-hitter and hit a home run for Metea. He struck out six and walked none, and his solo shot in the fourth inning made it 2-0. Andrew Cronin and Mike Varzino had two hits each in the victory.
Wheaton North 7, Lake Park 1
Jackson Gray pitched a three-hitter with six strikeouts and one walk for the Falcons. Andrew Nelson had two hits and two RBI and Connor Olson tripled, singled and scored two runs.
Barrington 19, Schaumburg 5
Blake Gosswein homered and Sean Davis drove in four runs for the Broncos.
Palatine 9, Conant 2
J.T. Streepy went 3-for-4 with five RBI and Josh Stitt added three hits and drove in two runs for the Pirates. Evan Daly went the distance for the win.
Glenbard West 9, Batavia 5
Grant Laila went 3-for-3, Kyle Engstrom went 2-for-2 and Sam Fenske hit a home run for Glenbard West.
Fenwick 14, St. Joseph 3
Casey O’Laughlin and Ethan Gerstner hit home runs and the Friars pounded out 14 hits in the victory.

Scott Youngbrandt pitched a one-hitter with 11 strikeouts and one walk for Andrew.
Elk Grove 8, Rolling Meadows 1
Xander Rojahn allowed a run on four hits with seven strikeouts in six innings and A.J. Navarro had three hits for the Grenadiers.
Prospect 15, Hersey 7
Richie Baczek had three hits and Ryan Howe and Ryan Roggeman drove in three runs apiece in the victory.
Lake Forest 7, Lake Zurich 6
Paul Turelli hit a two-run homer and Andrew Gough added a two-run single as the Scouts rallied for six runs in the top of the sixth.
Naperville North 8, Glenbard North 1
Jack Whitley pitched six scoreless innings and went 3-for-4 with a homer and three RBI in the victory.
Burlington Central 9, Woodstock North 0
Clay Milas and Josh Noeska had three hits apiece and Brandon Van Buren struck out nine in five innings of one-hit ball for Central.
Naperville Central 20, Wheaton Warrenville South 12
Connor Gurnik went 4-for-4 with three RBI and Aaron Szczepanski had five RBI in Naperville Central’s 19-hit attack. Ryan Eiermann homered in the victory.
Montini 12, Bishop McNamara 5
Nicholas Malik and Jake Karczewski hit a home run apiece and combined for five hits and seven RBI in the victory. Alex Luka had two hits and drove in three for the Broncos.
Willowbrook 7, Leyden 3
Jon Kelso and M.J. Ranieri had three hits apiece for Willowbrook.
Vernon Hills 7, Grant 6
Drew Winegardner had three RBI and Joe Rangel added two as Vernon Hills rallied for seven runs in the final two innings to erase a 6-0 deficit.
South Elgin 2, West Aurora 1
Nate Gomez struck out 16 West Aurora batters in a three-hit gem for South Elgin. Patrick Keaty singled home the go-ahead run in the bottom of the sixth.
Buffalo Grove 10, Wheeling 5
Zach Fricke went 4-for-4 with three RBI and John Carpinelli had two hits and three RBI in the victory. Leo Rule added three hits for the Bison.
West Chicago 10, East Aurora 1
Matt Dahl went 4-for-4 and Bobby Bartlett allowed an unearned run on four hits in the complete-game victory.
Dundee Crown 9, Prairie Ridge 6
Scott Wojcik hit a grand slam for the Chargers.
Libertyville 12, Stevenson 9
Riley Gowens hit for the cycle, drove in five runs and scored four to power Libertyville’s 14-hit attack. Jack Housinger had two doubles and six RBI for Stevenson.
Streamwood 9, Elgin 5
Adam Sojda went 2-for-2 and scored three runs and Jose Aguilar had two RBI for Streamwood.
Antioch 8, Grayslake Central 1
Connor Kaiser pitched six strong innings and Alex Uneskis drove in two runs for the Sequoits.
Oak Park 8, Marian Catholic 5
Amir Tillis had a two-run single in Oak Park’s seven-run first-inning outburst. Mark DiLuia hit a two-run homer for Marian Catholic.
Cicero Morton 8, Argo 7
Luis Lopez had three hits and Morton rallied for three runs with two outs in the bottom of the eighth for the walk-off victory.
Grayslake North 10, Wauconda 2
Danny Yates homered and had two singles and Chris Kelly added three hits for North.
Morton 8, Pekin 4
Logan Peterson went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI for the Potters.
St. Charles East 11, Larkin 4
Niko Plaskowy went 3-for-3 and John Dellostritto and Thomas Adams drove in two runs apiece for the Saints.
Benet 14, Nazareth 10 (11 innings)
Continuation of last Tuesday's game that was tied 10-10 and suspended after 8 innings. Marty Dosen hit a walk-off grand slam. That was Dosen's second walk-off homerun in Benet's last three games. Tony Adams with 3 shutout innings in relief.
