Ryan Wheeler's grand slam and Noah Herdman’s solo shot came in back-to-back fashion as Neuqua exploded for eight runs in the top of the seventh to remain undefeated. Rick Castro pitched a complete game and Tim Schneider went 3-for-4 with three RBI in the victory.
No. 7 St. Rita 4, Marmion 1
Logan Strutz pitched a one-hitter with eight strikeouts and one walk for the Mustangs, which managed just three hits of their own in the victory. Matt Verdun’s two-run double was the big blow as St. Rita did all its damage in the third inning.
