SHOCKERs OF THE DAY
Pekin defeated No. 16 Morton (19-4, 5-3 Mid-Illini) behind Nate Hayes and Campbell. Hayes singled and plated a Dragon run while Campbell fired a six-hitter at the Potters. Both Potter runs were unearned.
Stagg (10-10, 2-4 Southwest Suburban Blue) stunned No. 20 Homewood- Flossmoor (14-4, 5-1 Southwest Suburban Blue), behind Mitch Spencer and Max Downs 8-5. Spencer had three singles and had three RBI. Downs chipped in with three singles and had two RBI.
