METRO SUBURBAN EAST

Timothy Christian 19, Walther Christian 1
Timothy Christian (1-1, 1-0) defeated Walther Christian (2-3, 0-1) behind a no-hitter from Carter Johnson (1-1). The lone Bronco run was unearned and Johnson fanned four in his five-inning no-no. Johnson also went 3-for-3 at the plate with a double and plated six Trojan runs.

METRO SUBURBAN WEST

Aurora Central Catholic 8, Immaculate Conception 1
Aurora Central Catholic (7-0, 1-0) defeated IC (1-6, 0-1) behind Charger ace LHP Matt Rahn. Rahn struck out eight Knights in his solid five innings of work, to improve to 3-0 on the mound. Chris Saltijeral and Jimmy Laurenti led the ACC attack with three hits each. Michael Bieterman and John  Belskis each chipped in with a pair of hits for ACC.

Wheaton Academy 5, St. Edward 1
Wheaton Academy (5-2, 1-0) defeated St. Edward (2-4, 0-1) behind Jake Lindstedt, who allowed one run and just one hit in his outstanding 5.2 innings to pick up the win. Lindstedt fanned six.

MID-ILLINI

No. 8 Metamora 9, OTB Morton 6
Metamora (11-1, 1-0) scored eight runs in the top of the fifth to defeat Morton (7-1, 0-1) in Morton on Monday. Peyton Biernat’s grand-slam highlighted the eight-run Redbird explosion. Biernat finished with five RBI. Caleb Brachbill added a 4-for-4 day with a double, for the Redbirds. Morton was led by the red-hot Dan Bolt, who hammered two bombs and plated five Potter runs.  

East Peoria 4, OTB Bartonville Limestone 3 (8 innings)
East Peoria (6-2-1, 1-0) defeated Bartonville Limestone (7-3, 0-1) in eight thrilling innings. Dom Shank tripled to leadoff the Raider bottom of the seventh and danced home with the walk-off game-winner when Braden Stewart (3-for-4, R,G-W RBI) ripped a line drive single setting off a Raider post-game party on Washington Street.
