ST. IGNATIUS
No. 2 Mount Carmel (32-4) blasted Whitney Young 12-2 in five innings behind Nelson Munoz. Munoz (12-0) fired a two-hitter at the Dolphins with six strikeouts. AJ Lewis, Scott Kapers and Bobby Seymour, all had two hits and two RBI for the Caravan. Whitney Young bows out at 20-14.
ST RITA
No. 5 St. Rita (30-6) blasted Lyons Township 16-6 as Mateo Zunica, Esteban Martinez and Anthony Faron all went deep for the Mustangs. Cal Greenfield led the Mustang onslaught with three hits including two doubles and drove home five for the Mustangs. Zunica drove home three and Faron two.
