Big 12 Conference co-leader No. 21 Champaign Centennial (20-3) defeated Corn Belt Conference contender Mahomet-Seymour 5-1. Centennial’s Jeff Lindgren improved to 7-0 on the season with a six-hitter at Mahomet-Seymour (17-4). Lindgren struck out six. Quin Nottingham led the Charger attack with two hits including a double and had two RBI. Matt Davis chipped in with three hits including a double.

EAST SUBURBAN CATHOLIC
Carmel (8-12, 3-7 East Suburban Catholic) throttled Notre Dame (17-7, 4-5 East Suburban Catholic) behind Garrett McClellan 4-1. McClellan was lights-out against the Dons firing a two-hit masterpiece. Connor Pett had a single and a home run for the Corsairs.

CATHOLIC BLUE
No. 1 St. Rita (26-1, 10-1 Catholic Blue) outslugged St. Laurence (14-8, 5-6 Catholic Blue) behind Cal Greenfield and Anthony Faron 10-7. Greenfield went 2-for-2 with two RBI while Faron had two singled and also had two RBI for the Mustangs. Dan Budziak (3-0) fired 3.1 scoreless innings of relief to pick up the win.
