Illinois Insider: 10 Hot 2015 Names This Summer

Over the last month our scouting staff has seen a dizzying amount of baseball in Illinois. As is the case every June, many new names have emerged, while others have made significant jumps in their respective games.

Here’s a list of 10 of the hotter 2015 names that have emerged over the last month in Illinois:

1. Liam Jenkins, RHP, Lincoln-Way North HS
The hulking 6-foot-8, 225-pound right-hander catapulted to No. 4 in Illinois’ recently updated 2015 rankings after his remarkable showing at the PBR Illinois Top Prospect Showcase. At the event, Jenkins sat 90-92, and showed solid command of a 71-74 mph curveball and 79-81 changeup.
