The 3A and 4A state tournament finished up over the weekend with Lemont taking the 3A crown and Providence winning the 4A title. Here's a few notes on some of the top prospects in the tournament.

+ Jake Godfrey, RHP, Providence, 2014
Committed to LSU. Drafted in 21st Round by the Braves. Ranked No. 3 in the state, No. 8 overall. Made two appearances in the state tournament, winning pitcher in state championship game. Fastball sat 87-89 mph, touching 90 mph, showed life through the zone, improved fastball command. Curveball worked at 73-75 mph with depth, slider showed more lateral action, can expand the zone with it, 78-79 mph.
