Illinois Underclass Trials: Overall Top Prospects

By Ryan Quigley

The Prep Baseball Report Underclass Trials held on June 12th at Schaumburg Boomers Stadium featured several top 2016 and 2017 prospects, highlighted by two extremely projectable arms.  York HS southpaw Cole Miller took home the top honors, impressing with late movement on his low-to-mid 80’s fastball from a clean arm action.  Batavia’s Glenn Albanese was a close second and the top 2017 prospect in attendance.  The lanky right-hander threw strikes with all three pitches, including a firm changeup that flashed plus, and projects to throw harder in the future.  St. Joseph-Ogden’s Dalton Parker was the top two-way player in attendance, impressing both on the mound and at third base with his large physical presence and low 80’s fastball.

Here’s a look at the top overall prospects at the Underclass Trials.
