Now that the summer season has come to an end and we head into another school year, here are 10 of the top available 2018 catchers in Indiana.

SCOUTING REPORT

3/5/17:  The 6-foot, 190 pound catcher has an aggressive line drive approach in the box.  Big movements during load, maintains smooth rhythm.  Fast bat speed, showcasing some pull side power.  Uphill path with lift at contact.  High exit velocity of 89.  Defensively, has a strong arm with quick release.  Throws topped at 80 with carry.  Pop times ranged between 1.93-2.01.  Stiff in setup, quick transfer and good direction with feet.

2/19/17: Strong frame at 6-foot, 195 pounds.  Offensively, hits from an open/athletic setup, smooth load with a slight wrap, leg kick timing trigger.  Good use of his lower half, fair balance.  Possesses some bat speed from a long, uphill swing path.   Showcased the ability to drive the left-center gap.  High exit velocity of 89 mph.  Aggressive hacks during his BP round. Behind the plate registered pop times of 1.93-2.01.  Throws from a high ¾ slot, topped out at 80 mph.  Quick, Clean transfer. Average hands while receiving.  Lacks hip flexibility.
