Jayhawks pick up another top in-state prospect

St. Thomas Aquinas infielder James Cosentino announced his commitment to play for Kansas earlier this week. The athletic 5-foot-9, 160-pound left-hand hitter is one of the top prospects in the Kansas class of 2016 and joins fellow junior Topeka Seaman right-handed pitcher Ryan Zeferjahn in pledging to the Jayhawks in recent weeks. Cosentinto was one of two sophomores to be an everyday starter for the Saint’s senior-dominated 5A state championship team last spring and earned KABC All-State honors at season’s end after leading the team in RBI.
