We would like to thank all who participated in the 2016 Michigan Freshman Free Showcase. This was a great opportunity for the class of 2020 prospects to be put on college radars. Many players impressed during their individual workouts at the showcase.

Michigan Insider: Freshman Free Showcase - Sneak Peek

The Arms:

Nathan Waligora, RHP/3B, Livonia Stevenson, 2020
Scouting Report: Waligora is a 6-foot-3, 175 pound switching hitting  prospect. On the left side of the plate uses an open set up with a balanced approach. Has a toe tap load with slight hand movement while swinging uphill. On the right side has a toe tap load and aggressive swing showing more confidence. 84 mph exit velocity. At 3B has good actions with a quick release. 70 mph infield velocity. On the mound repeats his motion while reaching his balance point with a high leg lift. Has quick arm action throwing from a high-3/4 arm angle. Fastball sat 76-79 mph with good late run. Sharp breaking 63-64 mph curve and a fading change up 65 mph.
