Michigan Underclass Spotlight: Jace Beatty, OF/LHP, 2016

Position: OF/LHP
Class: 2016
High School: Kenowa Hills
Height/Weight: 6 foot, 190-pounds
Ranked: 69th in 2016 MI class.

Scouting Report: Clean actions with his footwork and glove in the outfield. Threw 81 mph from the outfield. Runs the 60-yard dash in 7.06. Narrow open to open stance, generates good bat speed with pull side power. Bat speed registered at 89 mph. On the mound, Jace has a low-¾ arm slot throwing across his body. Fastball is 79-82 mph with late run. Breaking ball shows a good sweeping action at 69-72 mph. Changeup is 75-77 mph.
