Midwest ProCase: Pitcher Analysis

By Sean Duncan and Matt Huck

The Midwest ProCase took place on July 11th at Silver Cross Field in Joliet, Illinois. The event featured players from ten surrounding states. Today we continue our event analysis with reports on the pitchers.

Yesterday Seth Halvorsen (Heritage Christian Academy, MN) was highlighted as one of the top infielders from the event with plus plus arm strength and raw power at the plate. Halvorsen translates his arm in the field to the mound topping out at 93 mph with his fastball. Though he is newer to pitching, he possesses a swing and miss slider at 77-8 mph to go along with his plus fastball.

6-foot-6 RHP Jacob Seipenko (Salem, MI) was one of the biggest risers at the event striking out three in his inning of work. Seipenko got swings and misses with his fastball at 87-90 mph with downhill plane and showed feel for his offspeed pitches. Uncommitted RHP Gus Radel (Sioux Falls Roosevelt, SD) featured a heavy fastball that topped out at 93 mph.
