New England Insider: 2017 Player Rankings

The first ever Prep Baseball Report rankings for New England have been released for the class of 2017. The class of 2017 in New England surely doesn’t lack talent. Let’s highlight some of the players that stand out in the current rankings. 

We continue to bring you the best coverage of high school baseball in the New England area. Below you can find about the top of the class as well as the top players from each individual state.

The rankings are forever fluctuating so get a look at the first go round and then follow our coverage as we go.

TOP OF THE CLASS


Ben Casparius
, right-handed pitcher from Staples HS in Connecticut headlines the rankings. At 6-foot-2, 195-pounds he projects to continue to develop and currently his stuff is excellent. Pitches 87-90 with arm-side run and a plus hammer that he spins in the mid-70s. Throwing his breaking pitch at will is what separates him at this point.
