New England Insider: Top 2017 Uncommitted Infielders

With the Summer season coming to an end and the 2016-2017 high school sports season as well as fall ball getting underway, we would like to take a look at some of the top uncommitted prospects at each position.

Today we are look at the top uncommitted senior infielders in the New England Region. We will look to create a few top uncommitted lists each week, as you can see by our 2017 Player Rankings there are numerous talented prospects available.

Michael Lisinicchia
Rank: 29th in New England's 2017 Class
Scouting Report: As a positional player, he is a guy. Threw 89 mph across the diamond from third. The glove is solid and he can move well enough to make the slow roller play. Ran a 4.35 down the line on his dig to first base. The bat has plenty of buggy whip to it. The hand speed is excellent, tee exit velocity of 93 mph. Hits out of a close feet setup. The hands are even and he whips the barrel through the zone. Pull mode was shown for the most part, as he will have to get better control of his bottom half to spread the field. On the mound, pitches out of a clean ¾ arm path. The fastball has plus life to it, touching 88 mph. The spin pitch needs more fastball hand speed to it, sits now at 68-69 mph. The changeup is a work in progress, 75-76 mph. Profiles as a reliever at the next level, if he can get better tracking with his shoulders and his posture under control, he could pitch at a high level.
College Outlook: Can handle the bat, has a chance to hit at the next level.
Offers: Interest from SCSU, Pace, CCSU, URI, Northeastern
