Ontario Insider: 2017 Windsor Open ID - Sneak Peek

By Chris Kemlo and PBR Staff
Ontario Scouting Director

We would like to thank all who participated in PBR Ontario's 2017 Windsor Open ID this past week. This was a great opportunity for 2017-2019 prospects to be put on college radars. Many players impressed during their individual workouts at the showcase.

In the coming weeks, we will be adding and updating profiles for each of the players in attendance, including complete analysis and video.

Ontario Insider: 2017 Windsor Open ID - Sneak Peek

The Arms

Three of the arms who stood out from Sunday’s Windsor Open ID had a little bit of everything with a right-hander senior and junior, as well as a left-hander 2018 grad.

2017 right-hander Maxwell Dennison (Butler Prospects) was 83-84 with sink for the majority of his bullpen with room to include more from his lower half. The arm was quick out front from ¾ slot while he showed feel for his slider that was up to 77 mph with late bite when down in zone while the changeup would dive arm side in the mid-70s. Dennison had three pitches with action on all them.

2018 right-hander Shane Laforest (Windsor Selects 18u)
