Ontario Insider: PROCASE Preview - Jordan Balazovic, RHP
Name: Jordan Balazovic
Position: RHP
Grad: 2016
Rank: 113th Overall in PBR Class of 2016
Height/Weight: 6-foot-4, 180-pounds
Club Team: Ontario Blue Jays
Committed: Auburn
Background: Long and lean at 6-foot-4, 180-pounds, Balazovic is one of the top Canadian high schoolers eligible for the 2016 draft. His fastball has been up to 92 mph this spring from his loose and easy ¾ arm slot. Changeup is a much improved pitch that works with his arm angle while he is becoming more confident with his breaking ball. He repeats his delivery well and gets natural run on his fastball which in turn produces a lot of ground balls and broken bats. Competes well with a mound presence and demeanor, has continuously improved over time and there is no reason why we think he won’t be a 92-94 mph guy as he matures and develops his frame in the future.
