Ontario Insider: Top 2017 Uncommitted Pitchers

With the Summer season coming to an end and the 2016-2017 high school sports season as well as fall ball getting underway, we would like to take a look at some of the top uncommitted prospects at each position.

Today we are starting with the top uncommitted senior pitchers in Ontario. We will look to create a few top uncommitted lists each week, as you can see by our 2017 Player Rankings there are numerous talented prospects available.

Name: Landon Leach
Rank: 2nd in Ontario Class of 2017, 19th Overall
Scouting Report: Physical and strong at 6-foot-4, 205-pounds. Fastball been up to 94 mph this summer, slider in the low 80’s with tilt, power arm. Works strictly out the stretch, repeats delivery well with ¾ arm slot, clean in the back and on-time with his separation.
College Outlook: Chance to step in right away as freshman and contribute. Plus fastball will allow him to be used in many different roles early on in his career. High profile D1 arm.
Receiving Interest: Texas, South Florida, Arizona State, West Virginia, other major D1 programs.
