PBR Border Battle 2018's Infielder Scouting Reports

Prep Baseball Report's PBR Border Battle event took place on Sunday August 13th, 2017. The event was held at Doc Ross field on the campus of Iowa Western Community College.in Omaha. The event featured prospects from the 2018 class who showcased their talents in front of our scouting staff and multiple coaches in attendance.

The event featured players from all over the state of Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa and South Dakota.

INFIELDER SCOUTING REPORTS

JACK BENSON2B / SS / CHEROKEE, IA / 2018 5-foot-11, 155 pound infielder ran a 6.98 60 yard sprint. Square stance at the plate, short stride triggers line drive swing plane. Ground ball contact during round of BP. Posted an exit velocity of 82 mph off a tee. Average actions in the infield, feet have a tendency to get heavy at fielding position, plays the ball out front. Topped out at 73 mph accurately across.
