The state tournament began on Tuesday in Murfreesboro, and our scouting staff is out in full force at different sites. The following is a look at scouting notes from games played in the State Tournament. The blog will continue to be updated with scotuing notes daily from the tournament.

+ 2015 RHP Walter Rook (Northeast Mississippi CC) has a long and lanky frame that projects well. His Working through a high-3/4 slot, his fastball sat 83-85, touching 86 on a few occasions, and he maintained his velocity well throughout the game. Rook throws a 75-77 mph breaking ball with late and sharp 11/5 action that he throws consistently for strikes. He pitched a complete game, scattering nine hits while allowing one run with four strikeouts.
