SHELBYVILLE, KY—Continuing our swing through Tennessee and Kentucky, Thursday featured RHP Joe Boyle (North Oldham HS, KY). A Notre Dame recruit, the 6-foot-6, 230-pounder moved to the Louisville area from St. Louis last summer. Making his second start of the season, Boyle showed electric stuff and an easy delivery, but struggled to find the strike zone. In four innings, he allowed one run on four hits and five walks on 96 pitches. However, he improved his strike percentage from his first outing and struck out 11.
