As the summer comes to a close, we take a look back at some of the position players who stood out at the Top Prospect-North Showcase in June.

2016 Position players that can make an impact...

+Caleb Barnes, OF/LHP, Briar Woods, 2016
hit from a balance athletic stance. Minimal load back. Short stride with excellent balance. Stayed behind the ball very well. Heading advanced approach at the plate. Bat past was short and level. Had very good extension. Had a line drive stroke that was gaffe the gap. Had an explosive lower half  and had strong hands. Had an exit velocity of 85 mph. In the outfield,  through from a high three-quarter arm slot with a long loose arm action. throws were accurate with average Carrie.  Worked through the ball with athleticism. Footwork was fluid and exchanges were quick. Showed sturdy hands in the outfield. Attack the ball very well into proper angles. Had a positional velocity of 77 mph....
