WEATHERFORD, TX - Roughly two weeks ago, Prep Baseball Report Texas was in attendance as multiple junior college teams met at Weatherford College to play some fall baseball. Dozens of professional scouts were in attendance, and we ran several pieces of content from what we saw over the two day period (Day 1Day 2). Be sure to check in every Friday to JUCO Wire, Prep Baseball Reports weekly Junior College Baseball Notebook. Today we continue to bring you junior college coverage from Texas with reports and video on top pitchers Sept. 8 & 9.

Shane Daughety, RHP, McLennan JC, Soph.
Texas State Transfer. 6-foot-2, 197-pound frame. Had one of the best outings of the weekend. Sinker-Slider guy, strike thrower, works from a high-¾ slot with a compact arm stroke, some effort and cross-body delivery. Fastball has good arm side sink and life at 85-88 mph. Last three fastballs he threw were 88 mph. Slider has 10-4 shape and is a tough pitch on right-handed hitters at 75-77 mph for swings and misses. Made quick work of the batters he faced and got better during his outing.

Zack May, RHP, Hill JC, Soph.
May has broad shoulders and long arms, standing 6-foot-2, 175-pounds. The right-hander works from a ¾ slot with a long, clean arm stroke. Sinker-slider guy with more velocity to come. His fastball sat 85-87 mph with some arm side run. His slider had good 11/5 shape that varied at times, ranging from 75-77. Flashed one changeup at 80 mph.
