According to the Coach
Offensively the Bears will look to replace the production of six seniors who graduated last May. Players returning to the lineup like Robbie Young, Luke Allison, Xavy Corcino, Chad Isom, Alex Harris and Hayden Hollingsworth will look to take on larger roles and increased responsibility. Newcomers Colin Kriminger and Jackson Vetetoe will be among the crowd of players competing for starting spots when the season begins. When asked about his young lineup Coach Dennis Winn expressed confidence in the ability and potential of his team.

"We certainly will miss the experience of those seniors, but as the lineup starts to come together I think we have a chance to be more dynamic and more explosive as an offense,” Wynn stated. “It is just going to be a question of how quickly those young guys can establish confidence at the plate."

Davidson has made back to back appearances in the Sub-State round of the Division II playoffs, and defense has been a big part of that. Some players are going to have to shift roles, but Coach Winn is confident that his process minded group will be able to maintain the level of defensive efficiency that has led to so many wins. It certainly helps the Bears cause that they are returning their All-District selections at shortstop (Luke Allison), left field (Xavy Corcino), and 1st base (Robbie Young), as well as an all-region selection at catcher (Chad Isom).

The Bears pitching staff will look to maintain the solid consistency of years past. Returning starters Robbie Young and Hayden Hollingsworth will be called on to anchor a young but extremely talented group. Coach Winn expects this group to be one of the strengths of his team in 2015, and is excited to see what a year of development can do for players like Brock Meyers and Ethan Tressler, as well as what new additions will bring to the staff.  The Bears coaching staff is excited about the direction and potential of their 2015 team, and are hopeful that they can build off past year's success.
