Here is a look at some of the scores and highlights from games around the state on the rain-soaked Friday, April 21, 2017.


Hardin Valley 7, Science Hill 5
Lucas Cook and Brock Umberger led a Hawks offense that saw 7 players record at least 1 hit in Friday's win over Science Hill.  Cook finished 2-4 with a double and 2 runs scored and Umberger finished 2-3 with a double, 2 runs, and 2 RBIs.  Bryce Jenkins and Cameron Fisher each had a hit, a run, and an RBI, while Austin Johnson drove in 2.  Jackson Penn earned the W on the mound.

Colliervlle 6, East Hamilton 1
After being down 1-0 for the first 4 innings, the Dragons of Collierville battled back to post 6 runs over the final 3 innings in their victory over East Hamilton on Friday evening.  Adam Hall hit a home run and combined with RJ Dell to finish 4-7 with 2 RBIs and 3 runs scored.  Noah Hattier drove in 3 runs and Parker moss scored twice.  Brayden Green earned the W on the mound, tossing 6.1 innings of 3-hit baseball, allowing only 1 unearned run and striking out 7.

Farragut 6, Heritage 0
Jake Grooms and Brad Day combined to toss a 1-hit shutout in Friday's contest with Heritage, allowing 1 walk and striking out 5.  Grooms earned the W and Day closed out the 7th.  The Admiral offense relied on their top 4 hitters, as Carson Wright, Zach Yunger, Jake Hagenow, and Parker Noland combined to go 7-13 with all 6 runs and RBIs.  Yunger and Hagenow homered.

Karns 5, David Crockett 0
Trevor Adams delivered a complete-game shutout for the Beavers on Friday night, tossing all 7 innings and allowing only 3 hits and 1 walk while striking out 12.  Brian Bell led the offense, finishing 4-4 with a double and an RBI.  Alex Hames and Tyler Hartless each added 2 hits to the cause.  

Science Hill 7, Morristown East 0
David Bryant went 3-3 with 2 doubles, a triple, an RBI, and 2 runs scored to lead the Toppers to the 7-0 win over Morristown East.  Bryson Tolley and Tilo Skole both added a hit, a run, and an RBI, while Joshua Francisco and Quinn Boyle combined to complete the shutout.  Together, they allowed 4 hits and 4 walks while striking out 8 in the 7 innings.

Ooltewah 9, Tullahoma 5
Ethan Walls had a big night at the plate to help power the Owls to a win on Friday, finishing 2-2 with a walk, a double, a home run, 3 RBIs, and 2 runs scored.  Jackson Malcolm and Bryce Matthews both doubled, combining for 1 run and 3 RBIs and Andrew Manning earned the W on the mound by tossing 4.2 innings out of the bullpen.
