Here is a look at some of the scores and highlights from around the state on Wednesday, April 5, 2017.


McNairy Central 6, Union City 5
Sidney Rickman finished 4-4 with a double and 3 runs scored to help spark the Bobcat offense on Wednesday afternoon.   Casey Coleson and Thomas Stevens each added 2 hits of their own and combined for 3 RBI and 2 runs scored.  Logan Roberts drove in 3 runs and Coleson earned the W on the mound.

Hardin Valley 14, Bearden 4 
Cameron Fisher, Dawson Byard, Lukas Cook, and Jared Lugo combined to go 7-12 with 7 RBI and 8 runs scored in the Hawks' win on Wednesday evening.  Brock Umberger added a hit, a run, and an RBI, while Nathan Johnson earned the W on the mound.   

Collierville 12, Memphis University 2
Christopher Shaw helped lead the Collierville offense to a strong performance on Wednesday evening, finishing 2-4 with a triple, 1 run, and 2 RBI.  Adam Hall also provided 2 hits, a run, and an RBI, while Mitch Austin drove in 2 runs and scored 2 of his own.  Parker Moss recorded the W on the mound, striking out 7 and allowing 4 hits.

Brentwood Academy 13, Montgomery Bell 3
Bryce Jarvis led the Eagles to a convincing win over Montgomery Bell on Wednesday evening, finishing 3-3 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored.  Alex Reynolds, Garrett Smith, and Sam Gonas all had 2 hits and combined to score 5 runs.  Reynolds also earned the W on the mound, striking out 9 and allowing 7 hits and 3 runs in his complete-game performance.

Summit 1, Dickson County 0 (8 innings)
Davis Jackson dominated the game with a complete-game performance that lasted 8 innings and surrendered 0 runs on 2 hits and 1 walk.  Jackson struck out 3.  The Spartans pushed their only run across in the bottom of the 8th, when Blake Money worked a bases loaded walk to give Summit a 1-0 victory.

Elizabethton 4, Happy Valley 1
Corey Russell went 2-3 with a double and a run in Wednesday night's Cyclone victory.  Matthew Daily added a hit and 2 RBI, while Evan Carter tripled.  Brodie Adams earned the W on the mound, tossing all 7 innings and allowing only 3 hits without allowing a walk.  Adams struck out 9.

Brighton 7, North Augusta (SC) 6
Cole Wilkins and and Matthew Jacome teamed up to lead the Cardinal offense on Wednesday night, finishing a combined 5-10 with 3 runs and 2 RBI.  Dalton Rushing also added a hit and a run, while Will Dunlap earned the W on the mound, tossing the final 2 innings and striking out 6.

Pope John Paul II 5, Clarksville-Northeast 1 
Ben Brooks put together an impressive performance on Wednesday night, finishing 4-4 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored.  Jake Rucker and Jack Shuttleworth each added 2 hits, while Rucker produced 2 RBI of his own. Nate Pianto closed it out for the Knights in the 7th.  

Station Camp 7, Beech 6
Zach Bose went 2-4 with 3 RBI to help drive the Station Camp offense in their late-inning comeback over the Buccaneers on Wednesday night.  Trent Milliken hit a home run for the Bison and recorded 2 runs and 2 RBI.  Cooper Jackson earned the save on the mound, tossing a scoreless 7th with 2 strikeouts.
