Most Viewed Player Profiles of 2014: No. 4 Bryce Denton

By Doug Hall
Tennessee Director of Scouting

As you well know, PBR Tennessee began operations in 2014, and we felt it would be interesting to take a look at the ten most viewed Tennessee player profiles on the PBR website since we began operations.

Though we began scouting games and providing information on players in the late spring and early summer, we didn't run our first event in the state until August 24. Therefore, as we look at the ten most viewed profiles from 2014, it will only include profile views from August 24 to now.

Denton, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound 3B/RHP helped lead Ravenwood HS to a State Tournament birth in 2014 with big numbers at the plate and on the mound.  The Vanderbilt recruit hit .484 with 16 doubles, 8 triples, 10 home runs, and 62 RBI.  He exhibits good bat speed with a short swing and good extension through contact.  He has big arm strength across the infield from his third base position and also shows good speed on the base paths.  On the mound, Denton used his high-80's fastball to compile a 2.93 ERA while striking out 72 in 61 innings pitched.  Denton will be participating in the Prep Baseball Report Super 60 Pro Showcase in Chicago on February 1.  The event drew 82 professional scouts last winter to see top players from the Prep Baseball Report coverage area.
