Robert Worley , 1B/RHP, L/R, Dyersburg HS, 2016

At 6-foot-3, 215-pounds, Worley is a big, strong-framed prospect that shows considerable projectability at the next level as a potential left-handed power bat.

Worley flashes power potential with good bat speed as he registered the top exit velocity of the Fall Top Prospect Games Event at 87 mph.  He hits from a slightly open stance and shows good lower half torque in his swing.  Worley shows the ability to drive the baseball when he squares it up as the ball jumps off his bat.  He also showed good speed for his size when he ran a 4.46-second home to first time from the left side.

Defensively, Worley has ideal size for the first base position.  He showed adequate hands with accurate throws across the diamond at 76 mph.

Worley shows good rhythm on the mound. He uses long arm action through a ¾ to high-3/4 arm slot and shows the ability to pound the lower half of the zone.  His fastball displays good arm side run and varied between 75-79 mph, touching 80. His curveball shows hard, late, 11/5 action at 67-70 mph, and he throws it with good arm speed.

Look for Worley to be a key piece to the Trojans of Dyersburg program next spring while improving his chances of playing at the collegiate level.
