Last week, Ty King, a 6-foot-6, 180-pound RHP from Bradley Central HS, committed to continue his education and baseball career at Tennessee Tech University.  We recently caught up with King to discuss his decision.

PBR:  What was it about Tennessee Tech that made it feel like the right fit for you?

King:  After my visit, I just really felt like it was a perfect fit for me. I felt like the winning environment, facilities, and coaching staff really would take my talents to the next level.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

King: Tusculum, Lincoln Memorial

PBR:  Where did the coaching staff first see you compete?

King:  Turner Baseball Academy

PBR: What role does Coach Bragga expect you to play during your first year on campus?

King: To work as hard as I possibly can and develop more as a pitcher. I will be ready for whatever role is asked of me.

PBR:  Who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player?

King:  All of my coaches from high school and summer ball have made me the baseball player I am today.

PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was your most exciting experience playing summer ball?

King:  Diamond-Simcox Academy.  Probably making it as far as we did in the Perfect Game WWBA 17U National Championship this summer.

PBR: What are your goals for your upcoming senior season?

King:  To work as hard I can and to push my teammates and myself to the limit so we won't come up short again this year, hopefully making a trip to Murfreesboro.

PBR: Who is the toughest hitter you have faced in Tennessee?

King:  Brody Binder, Ooltewah High School.
