Charlie Gill, RHP/OF, Harpeth HS, 2015

Gill is a 6-foot-0, 187-pound RHP/OF who showed two-way ability at the Unsigned Senior Games at Rose Park, home turf of the Belmont University Bruins in September.

Gill ran a 7.68 60-yard dash and posted 82 mph exit velocity off the tee. He hits from a balanced setup with an upper half load with the hands dropping along with a short, toe tap stride. He keeps his swing consistently short and achieves good extension through contact. Gill showed ability to drive the ball to all parts of the field. He was held hitless in game play, but barreled several balls during batting practice flashing his potential with the bat.  He showed good arm strength from the outfield at 84 mph.

On the mound Gill is an interesting prospect with some upside. He uses long whip like arm action through a high-3/4 arm slot.  His arm shows some quickness and he throws a heavy fastball that sat 82-85 mph with arm side run and late life while maintaining 80-83 mph velocity out of the stretch. In addition, Gill showed a solid changeup that sat 75-76 mph with good arm side fade with near fastball arm action.

With Gill's mix of size and versatility he has shown to be a potential two-way prospect at the collegiate level.
