SACHSE, TX - Lakeview Centennial prevailed over Sachse 2 - 1 in a pitchers duel on Thursday evening. Lakeview RHP Marcus Pugh threw 6 innings, only allowing one run on six hits, one walk, and six strikeouts. Kamron Fields, a Texas recruit, came on in the seventh to close the door for Lakeview, inducing a huge 4-6-3 double play. Lakeview scored their first run in the second inning on two throwing errors and a walk. Justin Lewis, a Midland College recruit, got the no-decision for Sachse. Lewis pitched six strong innings, allowing only one run on hits, and striking out thirteen. Lakeview scored two runs on five hits, while Sachse scored one run on seven hits. Outfielder Preston Baumgartner had two hits for Sachse. Justin Ortega had the game winning RBI in the seventh for Lakeview.
