Scouting Report

6.27.17:  Stanko is 6-1 and has a lankier athletic frame. He hits from the right side an open upright stance, leg kick stride on line, short load and good rhythm, explosive lower half and some balance during his swing. Quick to ball, works uphill with extension through it. Pull fly ball approach with some power, exit velocity was 87. At third, clean feet, fields ball with a good base and above average hands. Clean exchange, throws from a lower three-quarters arm slot, short arm action, infield velocity was 75. On the mound, throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with a longer free arm action and normal effort. Fastball was 81-83 with downward plane and late run to it. Curveball had gradual 11/5 break and some armspeed, 70-72. Change-up had some fade, was 67-68.

5.22.17: Strong athletic frame. An imposing threat at the plate that looks like could grow into a power hitting prospect in the 2019 class. Hits from an open setup. Smooth load back and sinks into lower half. Strong hands with a level path and bat speed at plate. Gap-to-gap type hitter, drove a ball to straight away center over the head for a double. Has a good presence at the plate with good idea of the zone. Looks like will eventually be a corner infield prospect potentially stay at second.
