Every Friday National Scouting Supervisor Nathan Rode provides a roundup of insider recruiting information and commitments throughout the PBR coverage area: The Buzz. CLICK HERE to take a look at the latest National Buzz. With that in mind, lets take an in depth look at the Virginia prospects who have committed to colleges recently with detailed scouting information when applicable.

We start off with two Virginia stars that de-committed in the past month are off the board again. 2017 IF William Simon (Benedictine College Prep, VA) had de-committed from Richmond and is now committed to James Madison. Simon is a sweet swinging corner infielder currently ranked No. 17 in the VA 2017 Rankings. 2018 OF Kyle Horton (Liberty Christian Academy, VA) committed to South Carolina. He was previously committed to Liberty. Horton projects as a your prototype top-of-the-order table setter that hits for average with speed and a strong arm in the outfield.  He is currently ranked No. 7 in the VA 2018 rankings.

Let's take a look at the recent Virginia/DC commitments (Click on player name to see their full profile).

Scouting Report (16/17 Top Prospect Games 11.8.14)
11/8/14:  Dopp stands a lanky 6-foot-4 and has a projectable frame. He throws from a high three-quarters slot and has a quick, long arm action. He pitches with some effort and falls off after release. Dopp pounded the zone with his fastball which ran 78-80. It had some slight sinking action to it that increased when he drove the ball down to the bottom of the zone. He showed a 11/5 breaking ball that was up in the zone and ran 63-69. Dopp also flashed a change-up with some sinking action to it that ran 66-72. As his feel for his secondary pitches improves he has a lot of upside.
