Scouting Report on Bruckschen from the summer:

Bruckschen stands 5-foot-11, 165-pounds and has a lanky upper body and an athletic lower body. He has a long, loose arm action that allows him to generate effortless velocity, as the ball seems to jump out of his hand. His fastball sat 79-83 and has some cutting action to it. He commanded the pitch well at the top of the zone. Bruckschen showed an outstanding power slider with 10/4 break that sat in the 70-74 range. His change-up was down in the zone and had some cutting action to it, running 78-80.

Analysis:

Bruckschen has an outstanding arm action and a lanky frame. He has a dominant offspeed offering in his slider. While his velocity is not currently elite, he figures to add significant velocity as he adds strength to his frame. Continuing to develop his change-up would also give him a good three pitch mix and make him a potentially dominant starter in the spring and in college.
