It’s ranking update season at the Prep Baseball Report and this week it’s the 2020s turn to get a refresh. Soon the 2020 Overall Rankings will get an overhaul but in the meantime it’s Wisconsin’s turn.

At the top of the 2020s we see a new No. 1 as Louisville commit AJ Vukovich (East Troy) takes over the No. 1 spot. Vukovich, a long lanky projectable athlete has made some serious noise with the bat this summer. Vukovich is a 6-foot-3, 187-pound infielder that you will typically see playing the left side of the diamond. His bat is his separator and ha shown a gap-to-gap doubles approach that will likely turn to even more power as his frame continues to fill out.

LHP/OF Luke Fox (Catholic Memorial) has continued to climb this summer. Coming off a breakout spring with Catholic Memorial, Fox continued his climb and showed even more polish on the mound. He has an easy 81-85 mph fastball that projects for more and climbed two spots up to No. 3.

At No. 6 RHP Tyler Chadwick (Marshall) is the highest new addition to the 2020 Rankings. Chadwick is a highly projectable arm with a ton of upside. Chadwick is a 6-foot-4, 175-pound right-hander who has a big live arm and is already up to 86 mph on the mound.

Outfielder Alex Ryan (Lakeside Lutheran) made the biggest jump of the top ten. Ryan is an easy athlete with quick twitch actions and excellent bat to ball skills. The athletic R/R outfielder compares to 2015 Oak Creek grad Doran Turchin who is in his junior year and having a successful career at Illinois. Ryan has above average speed and arm and plays the game faster than his peers.

Rounding out the top ten updates is RHP George Klassen (Port Washington). Klassen is another projectable live arm from a high ¾ slot. Although not the stature of Chadwick (5-foot-11, 150-pound) Klassen has all the stuff. His fastball features good arm side run and shows a plus changeup at times with swing and miss action.
