Baseball season is underway in the Badger State and we will again bring you all the action on a daily basis through our Daily Roundup. We again have teamed up with Wisconsin Sports Network to bring you the most comprehensive coverage of game scores and highlights throughout the spring. Our Daily Roundup will include final scores with a link to box scores provided by wissports.net as well as any highlights or top performers we get. We will also be tracking GameChanger throughout the year, if your team uses GameChanger make sure we are notified and following your official scorer.

A five-run explosion in the sixth inning spurred Sun Prairie to a 9-1 win in seven innings over Antigo on Thursday.

The Cardinals scored in the sixth on an RBI single by Drew Hamilton, a single by Michael Brekke, , an RBI single by Bryce Hanson, and an RBI double by Kasey Bass.

Sun Prairie was led by Brekke's hitting. Brekke went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs.

Brad Calkins's seven strikeouts were enough to push past Antigo. Calkins allowed no earned runs on four hits and five walks over five innings.

Hunter Staniske drove in the go-ahead run to give De Pere Redbirds Varsity the lead in the seventh inning, as De Pere Redbirds Varsity hung on to beat Kaukauna 4-3 on Thursday. Brandon Patz got the win for De Pere Redbirds Varsity. He tossed two innings of shutout ball. Brandon Patz struck out three, walked one and gave up one hit.

A wild pitch, scoring Nick Corn gave the Eagles the lead in the sixth inning, and the Eagles hung on to beat Port Edwards 9-7 on Thursday.

Michael Pecore got on base three times in the game for the Eagles. He scored one run and had two RBIs. He doubled in the first inning.

Freshman Pierce Blohowiak led Hawks' offensive threat, as he got on base two times in the game. He scored two runs and had one RBI.

RHP Matt DeYoung started for Xavier. Winneconne managed just two hits off of the Hawks' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out seven during his four innings of work.

Michael Koch was solid at the plate for the Panthers. Koch went 4-5, drove in one and scored three runs. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third, fourth, and sixth innings.

Noah Herried powered the Necedah Cardinals Varsity at the plate and on the rubber Thursday, willing the Necedah Cardinals Varsity to a 15-2 victory over Royall.

Noah Herried went a perfect 4-4 at the plate for the Necedah Cardinals Varsity. He singled in the first, second, and fourth innings and doubled in the sixth inning.

The Verona Area Wildcats  continued to pile up the runs on Thursday, en route to an easy 13-2 win over Milton at Schilberg Park.

Recent Gonzaga commit, LHP Keaton Knueppel shut down Milton while he was on the hill. Milton managed just one hit off of Knueppel, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out seven during his five innings of work.
