Daily Roundup: Summer Season June 3

No. 1 Oak Creek 5 vs. No. 2 Menomonee Falls 1

Hayden Krimmer gave up his first run of the season in the bottom of the first inning.  Cole Hernikl was issued a base on balls which ended up being Krimmer’s only walk of the night.  Hernikl then moved to second base on a botched pickoff attempt.  A sacrifice bunt moved him to third and was eventually driven home with a single.

Oak Creek tied the game in the top of the second off a SAC fly by Nathan Veloz.  That was all the scoring until the top of the 6th when Veloz hit an RBI double to the right center fence.  Oak Creek added 3 more runs in the top of the 7th to make it a 5-1 ballgame. Krimmer ended the night securing the W going 7 IP, 3 Hits, 1 BB, and 6 K’s.  Tommy Wolf was the pitcher of record for MF.

No. 6 Germantown 6 vs. No. 4 Homestead 1

Justin Powalish went 1-2, helping Germantown to a 6-1 victory over Homestead on Monday at Rennicke Field (Homestead).  He singled in the sixth inning. Ryan Anderson picked up the win for Germantown . Anderson allowed one earned run, three hits and three walks while striking out five over seven innings of work.

Catholic Carmel 17 vs. Waukesha North 0

Reggie Rappis went 2-2 at the plate, but Waukesha Northstars  fell 17-0 to Catholic Memorial at Frame Park on Monday. Schulze recorded the win for Catholic Memorial. He tossed five innings of shutout ball. Schulze struck out five, walked three and gave up five hits.

Catholic Memorial hammered Waukesha Northstars  pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 13 hits, 11 RBIs and 14 runs scored.

Ozaukee 8 vs. Howards Grove 6

Howards Grove Varsity fell to Ozaukee 8-6 in seven innings on Monday at HGHS.  Ozaukee was sparked by Jeremy Wichmann and Lee Wysocki, who teamed up for three hits and two RBIs.

SWCHA 6 vs. Brown Deer 2

Jake Schimenz allowed just two runs on Monday at Brown Deer, but Brown Deer Falcons Varsity couldn't get the offense going in a 6-2 defeat to SWCHA. Oezer got the win in relief for SWCHA. Oezer pitched three innings and allowed one run.

SWCHA jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the second. Pontarelli kicked things off for SWCHA with a single. A stolen base then moved Pontarelli from first to second. Oezer singled, plating Pontarelli. SWCHA added more runs when Swanson scored on a groundout by Renard. Brown Deer Falcons Varsity brought home one run in the third inning, and matched that run total in the seventh. In the third, Brown Deer Falcons Varsity scored on an error, scoring Jake Schimenz.

The game's last lead went to SWCHA thanks to a ninth inning rally that saw four runs cross the plate on a three-run double by Seegers and an RBI single by Kelly.

SWCHA 13 vs. Brown Deer 6

Zach Miller went 3-4 at the plate, but Brown Deer Falcons Varsity fell 13-6 to SWCHA at Brown Deer on Monday.  Three of Brown Deer Falcons Varsity's runs were scored thanks to timely hitting by Miller. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the third and seventh innings.

Schelthelm, Seegers, Swanson and Stalker helped lead SWCHA. They combined for nine hits and seven RBIs.

The bottom of the second saw Brown Deer Falcons Varsity take an early lead, 1-0. Brown Deer Falcons Varsity's threat began with a single by Miller. Then moved Miller from first to second.

SWCHA brought home two runs in the third inning, and matched that run total in the seventh. In the third, SWCHA scored on an RBI single by Swanson, scoring Seegers.

Brown Deer Falcons Varsity quickly matched SWCHA's strong inning with a two-run inning of its own in the third. Brown Deer Falcons Varsity scored on a two-run double by Miller.

SWCHA didn't relinquish the lead after scoring three runs in the fourth inning when it scored on A three-run double by Swanson.

SWCHA got three-run rallies in the fifth inning and the Sixth. In the fifth, SWCHA scored on a passed ball, plating Roberts.

SWCHA increased its lead with three runs in the sixth. Schelthelm's double got things going, scoring Bechtel. That was followed up by Seegers' single, plating Schelthelm.

Two runs in the bottom of the seventh helped Brown Deer Falcons Varsity close its deficit to 13-6. A groundout by Austin Schwark and an RBI double by Miller fueled Brown Deer Falcons Varsity's comeback. Stalker got the last out, as Brown Deer Falcons Varsity's Hunter Betts grounded out.

Mukwonago 18 vs. Waukesha South 7

Waukesha South Blackshirts scattered seven hits on Monday, but weren't able to push enough runs across, and lost 18-7 to Mukwonago at Waukesha West.

Cody Hurtado racked up two RBIs on one hit for Waukesha South Blackshirts. He singled in the second inning. Brandon Parr got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. He allowed two runs over four innings. Parr struck out two, walked one and gave up three hits.

Mukwonago's Matt McCartan, Zach Timmers, JJ Crawford and Austin Kruegercombined for 11 hits and 10 RBIs.

Mukwonago never surrendered the lead after the first inning, scoring two runs on a two-run double by Krueger Two runs in the bottom of the second helped Waukesha South close its deficit to 4-2. A two-run single by Hurtado sparked Waukesha South  rally. Mukwonago stopped the rally after Parr got Logan Rehn to.

Four Mukwonago baserunners came all the way around to score in each of the third, fifth and seventh. In the third, Mukwonago scored on an RBI single by Dan Timmers, scoring Krueger.

Two runs in the bottom of the fifth helped Waukesha South close its deficit to 12-4. An RBI single by Cannon Cooley and an RBI single by Jordan Shutta gave Waukesha South life. Finally, Ryan Williams got Matt Dennert to ground out to end the threat.

Two runs in the bottom of the sixth helped Waukesha South close its deficit to 14-6. An error and an RBI single by Tanner Hill set off Waukesha South rally. Williams ended the inning by getting Cooley to fly out.

A one-run seventh inning helped bring Waukesha South within 11. A fielder's choice fueled Waukesha South comeback. Mukwonago closed the game out when Williams got Aaron Schroeder to strike out.
