Future Games Preview: RHP/INF Nathan Brown

By Steve Nielsen
Scouting Director – Wisconsin/Illinois

The Prep Baseball Report Future Games is a one-of-a-kind event featuring the top 2016 prospects from across our 10 state coverage area. This year taking place at Grand Park in Westfield, IN from July 31-August 2, hundreds of scouts from across the country will fill the stands to watch some of the top uncommitted 2016 prospects across our coverage area.

Last year Wisconsin’s Class of 2015 Future Games Team went undefeated and has already seen eight Division 1 commitments from that roster. Over the next several months we will begin to unveil prospects who have been selected to participate in this year's event with a brief history and bio of the player and what we can expect from him at the PBR Future Games.

Name: Nathan BrownNathan Brown
High School: Arrowhead
Graduating Class: 2016
Position: RHP/SS
Height: 6-2
Weight: 180

Rank
State: 8
Overall: 53

Nathan Brown is one of the more projectable prospects in Wisconsin’s 2016 class. As a two-way prospect Brown shows high level abilities both on the mound and on the infield. On the mound his arm works cleanly and shows feel for multiple pitches. His fastball has topped at 87 mph and he looks to have more in the tank. He possibly has the most complete repertoire in the state’s 2016 class.

Offensively Brown has an equally impressive skill set. His approach is very balanced and shows bat speed to go with. Foot speed might knock Brown off of a middle infield spot at the next level but his hands and bat look to have all the abilities to be a position player at the next level as well.

Look for Brown to play both ways for Team Wisconsin splitting time both on the infield and on the mound.
