Power 25: Week 4 Update

The Power 25 has been updated for Week 3 of the WIAA season. Despite taking their first losses of the year Janesville Craig and Eau Claire North hold on to the top two spots. Preble and Tremper pushed themselves into the Top 5 with big weeks. Let’s take our weekly look around the Power 25 with notes, new additions, and upcoming schedule.  

  • No. 1 Janesville Craig lost its first game of the year to an upstart Madison West team, but still hold onto the No. 1 spot with an 11-1 record.

  • No. 2 Eau Claire North dropped its first game of the season to Burnsville (MN), but remain undefeated in Wisconsin.

  • Green Bay Preble moves up to the No. 3 spot from 6 after going 3-0 on the week and moving to 11-0.

  • Kenosha Tremper made the biggest jump from No. 10 up to No. 4 after sweeping a series from at the time No. 4 Indian Trail. Tremper is 9-1 on the year and has yet to lose a game in the state of Wisconsin.

  • Kimberly made a move back up the rankings this week from No. 16 to No. 11. The Papermakers had a 3-1 week picking up ranked wins against Fond du Lac, Hortonville, and Sun Prairie.

  • Antigo is the newest arrival checking in at the No. 25 spot.

  • Appleton North dropped out of the Power 25 after starting the year at 3-4.

The Week Ahead: Matchups

  • Monday: No. 1 Janesville Craig vs. No. 24 Jefferson, No. 4 Tremper vs. No. 9 Burlington, No. 17 Fond du Lac vs. No. 21 Oshkosh North

  • Saturday: No. 1 Janesville Craig vs. No. 5 Sun Prairie
