SUN PRAIRIE, WI - Four of the top teams in Wisconsin convened on the fields at Sun Prairie HS. Three of the four teams, No. 1 Bay Port, No. 12 Kenosha Bradford and No. 18 Sun Prairie, are ranked in our Power 25, Appleton West rounded out the pool of teams. Host Sun Prairie walked away the winners going 2-0 with wins over No. 1 Bay Port and No. 12 Kenosha Bradford. Here's a quick look at the recaps of each game.

No. 18 Sun Prairie 7, No. 1 Bay Port 2

The Cardinals jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the second with a four run rally highlighted by a Jack Maastricht two RBI single. Drew Hamilton also added a RBI sac fly to right. The four run second inning proved to be enough for sophomore RHP Ben Hauser who went the distance, allowing two runs, scattering 10 hits and walking two.

Bay Port collected 10 hits to Sun Prairie's 7 but the Cardinals put the pressure on the Pirates all day with several stolen base attempts, hit and run's, and even a safety squeeze.

No. 12 Kenosha Bradford 3, Appleton West 2

No. 1 Bay Port 10, Appleton West 2

Bay Port jumped out to an early lead in game two with seven runs in the first three innings. Bryce Braspennickx picked up the win with six strong innings scattering four hits and two runs while striking out eight.

No. 18 Sun Prairie 8, No. 12 Kenosha Bradford 7

Sun Prairie continued their pressing offense in game two. Putting themselves in an early 3-0 hole, the Cardinals roared right back to tie things up in the second. A two run single by Justus Benson supplied the early offense. The Cardinals tacked on one more in each of the following three innings with aggressive base running and excellent offensive execution.

Facing a three-run deficit in the seventh, Bradford loaded the bases for Kyle Sinclair who roped a double to right, clearing the bases and sending the game into extras. With momentum on their side it looked like the Red Devils would pull this one out, leading off the eighth with back to back base runners. However, the umpire's misinterpretation of a Bradford substitution was called as batting out of order and killing an eighth inning rally. Bradford went quietly in the ninth and Sun Prairie capitalized loading the bases for Justus Benson who finished off Bradford with a walk-off single and an 8-7 Sun Prairie win.
