Kenosha Tremper senior right hander Kyle Kutzler has recently committed to William Penn University in Iowa. The 6-foot-4, 220-pounder shows considerable upside on the mound. We’ve seen Kutzler up to 83 mph on the mound in the summer of 2011,with feel for multiple pitches.

Kutzler is excited about his decision to attend William Penn. Here’s what he had to say about his decision, "I chose William Penn because it was a good fit for me. The school has a good baseball tradition, and has the major I am interested in. I like the location of the school, and Coach Laird is someone I can see myself playing for. William Penn is also a special place for my family since both of my parents graduated from there."

Kutzler should bring a dynamic presence to the mound for Statesman in 2014, and has a chance to follow the footsteps of his dad, who went on to pitch for the Chicago White Sox.
