Sunday’s Wisconsin Preseason Identification brought out some of the best talent in the state, in every class. With over 80 participants in attendance we saw some of the top players in each class show their skill set.

Vanderbilt recruit Jeren Kendall (Holmen HS, 2014) stood out as an elite level outfielder and proved why he is the No. 1 ranked player in Wisconsin’s Class of 2014. His advanced outfield actions, along with arm strength and speed stood out head and shoulders above the rest. Kendall's younger brother Justin is a 2016 graduate to keep an eye on as well, he could easily be heading down a similar path to his older brother.

Alex Henwood (Appleton North HS, 2015) proved to be much improved at the plate as the top shortstop in the Class of 2015 again proved his defensive prowess and excellent foot speed. His bat path looked cleaner and swung it with more bat speed then we’ve seen before.

An up and coming Class of 2016 left handed pitcher that caught our eye was Jack Eagan (Wautoma, 2016). Eagan is an impressive specimen at 6-foot-2, 200-pounds and shows athletic ability far greater than his peers. The big lefty showed an impressive fastball that reached 84 mph with an advanced feel for secondary pitches.
