Stock Report: 2014 1B Logan Rupard

Today’s stock report is on Logan Rupard. Rupard is a physically imposing first baseman at 6-foot-4, 215-pounds from Arrowhead HS. His stature is impressive and to be as athletic as he is at that size is a rare asset.

Rupard shows excellent athleticism running a 7.2 60. Offensively, Rupard swings a powerful stick. He hits from an open stance using a short stride. Hitting with a high back elbow, he flashes big power as he gets to the baseball efficiently and with explosive bat speed.

Defensively, Rupard shows active hands around the bag at first base. His hands and feet work athletically in the field and he shows a long arm action across the diamond with plenty of arm strength and carry from first base.

Rupard is the No. 5 prospect in the Class of 2014 and shows the strength to hit at any level as he enters his junior season.
