Stock Report: 2015 INF Jake Hall

By Steve Nielsen
Scouting Director – Illinois/Wisconsin

Infielder Jake Hall (Lake Country Lutheran, 2016) has made vast improvements since his showing at the Southern Wisconsin Prospect ID in October. Hall has improved balance in his swing, and his hands look looser producing more hard line drives.

“I work on all aspects of the game to prepare for the upcoming season such as lifting weights, running, going to practice as much as possible, and being trained by professionals to help me improve my game,” said Hall.

Hall has just scratched the surface of the recruiting process and has been in contact with a few schools. According to Hall he has seen interest from Concordia-Nebraska, Wisconsin Lutheran, Illinois, Indiana tech, Ohio University, and Creighton.

Hall said,

“I certainly want to play at a school that has nice facilities, a nice campus and all of that. But more importantly, I would like to surround myself in an environment that puts me in a position to succeed. I need a coach who I can have a close relationship with both on and off the field, and players who challenge me to work harder every day to become the best ballplayer I can possibly be.”

Hall is carrying a 3.97 GPA into his sophomore year, which at that pace should afford him many more opportunities at the next level than most.

Lake Country Lutheran finish last season as State Runner-Ups and losing only three seniors to graduation should have a strong chance to get back to Appleton and make another run at a title.

“This year will be a great season and I am very excited to see what the future has offer Lake County Lutheran's baseball program."
