Unsigned Senior Games: Outfield Analysis

By Steve Nielsen
Scouting Supervisor – Wisconsin/Illinois

Kimberly’s Ben Carew took the top positional spot for both infielders and outfielders. Carew, rather new to the outfield has shown natural instincts and a long strided range with advanced footspeed that could play extremely well out there at the next level. Several other outfielders stood out including fast twitch athlete Jacob Greenberg (Wauwatosa West) and the strong bat of Jacob Sandy (Brookfield Central). One of the more intriguing bats in this bunch comes out of Dryden Van Schoyck (DeForest). Van Schoyck showed easy power in BP with a natural lifting path that makes hard contact on a high trajectory, the power potential in his bat is easily the best in attendance.
