Updated Overall 2015 Player Rankings

After a busy off-season that included state-specific, regional and national events, we have updated and expanded the Class of 2015 player rankings to reflect the stark jumps made by many prospects in the Prep Baseball Report’s 10-state coverage area.

This junior class is loaded with high-end national prospects, evidenced by the abundance of commitments already made. In fact, 24 of the top 25 prospects – and 44 of the top 50 – have already named their schools.  The 2015 class is also exceedingly deep, which made updating the top 350 list that much more difficult.

For the first time in more than a year, there is a new No. 1-overall prospect: SS/RHP John Aiello (Germantown Academy HS, PA). The 6-foot-2, 195-pounder is a switch-hitting infielder who also features 88-91 mph velocity on the mound. Aiello, a Wake Forest recruit, possesses high-level tools across the board and should be one of the highest-interest positional draft prospects next year.

Indiana’s high-end arms have been well-chronicled over the years. RHP Ashe Russell (Cathedral HS, IN), RHP Bryan Hoeing (Batesville HS, IN) and RHP Noah Burkholder (Crown Point HS, IN) are all extremely projectable (and currently dominant) top-10 prospects. Russell jumps to No. 2, slightly edging out Hoeing, who was previously No. 1. Indiana also features No. 13 Nolan Watson (Lawrence North HS, IN) and No. 14 Jarrett Montgomery (Lawrence Central HS, IN).
