Wisconsin Class of 2014 Rankings Released

Steve Nielsen
Scouting Director - Wisconsin

The Class of 2014 in the state of Wisconsin has been a tough class to get our hands around. In comparison to previous and upcoming classes the 2014 class seems to be rather weak, from what we have seen. There are some players at the top of the list that are highly sought after college prospects but the talent drops off quickly.

Jeren Kendall a junior out of Holmen HS is undoubtedly the No. 1 player in the class and is one of the top overall juniors in our coverage area. Connor Rolain (Appleton North) comes in at the No. 2 spot and shows an advanced approach at the plate. The next two spots are pitchers, filled by Derek Heffel from Racine St. Catherine’s, a 6-foot-6 right hander that shows some upside and Fred Manke, a two-way player that has showed us an 82-84 mph fastball and hits from the left side of the plate.

Here’s a look at our Top 10 players in the state of Wisconsin’s 2014 class.
